Katharine Beutner will teach fiction at KWW 2017

Katharine Beutner is a novelist and essayist who teaches creative writing and literature at the University of Hawai`i at Mānoa. Her first novel, Alcestis, won the 2011 Edmund White Award for Debut Fiction. Currently, she is at work on a novel about climate change.

Katharine Beutner Will Teach Fiction at KWW

Katharine Beutner is an assistant professor of English at the University of Hawai`i at Manoa, where she teaches creative writing and literature. Her first novel, Alcestis, was published in 2010 by Soho Press. She has a master’s and Ph.D. in English from the University of Texas at Austin. She taught previously at the College of Wooster in Ohio.
