Darien Gee is the author of six novels (three under the name Mia King) published by Penguin Random House. Her craft book, Writing the Hawai‘i Memoir, won the Hawai‘i Book Publishers’  2015 Ka Palapala Po‘okela Book Award (Special Interest). Her novels have been published in 12 countries, and are available in multiple formats including hardcover, trade paperback, audiobook, and ebook. Darien is a Vermont Studio Center fellow and recipient of a 2018 Sustainable Art Foundation grant. She lives with her family on the island of Hawai‘i.
